A walkthrough “game” in which I explore another side of my thesis topic, dreams. This was a semester long project for the class Integrated VisCom 2.
We begin with 30 traditional and 30 digital compositions. At this point, I didn’t know what the final project would be. My only focus was on the theme of dreams, and experimenting with a variety of materials to depict them. As for the digital pieces, we were not allowed to use any program from Adobe Creative Cloud because that would’ve been too easy.
From here, we needed to figure out a platform or containment to display these compositions. I did not end up using a majority of these pieces in the final, but it inspired me to make a “gallery” of sorts. I collected the dreams I’ve mine and others that I knew, and turned them into individual illustrations to display in this virtual gallery.
At the same time I was developing these illustrations, I was also building out the rooms for each “level” in the gallery. It starts off in my childhood bedroom and from there begins to branch off into a museum, a movie theater, a room full of text, and more. This is a project that theoretically can go on forever, but for now the project has ended. Have fun exploring all the various rooms and different interactive objects :)
